About M.E.

I have always been M.E. (Michelle Elizabeth), but Judd made me a MES :) I have discovered a love of photography over the years. I have never taken any classes, but have just learned by experimenting. Enjoy the world through my eyes.

How far along? 35weeks

Total weight gain/loss: + 14 :)

Maternity clothes? Shirts - yes; shorts - no (still wearing size 6)

Sleep:  Waking up more and more during the night.  I wake up at 6am, and force myself to fall back asleep around 7am until 9:15ish.  I do love my sleep :)

Best moment this week: Having Mom come in town.  Also, getting the photos Mandy took of the prego belly!

Miss Anything? Judd!  He has been at NTC for a month.

Movement: All day long!

Food cravings:  Ice cream, taquitos, and pizza

Looking forward to: Judd coming home this week.  Baby shower at Mandy's on Sunday.

Dr. Appointment update: Measuring 32 weeks, and have the next appointment on July 5th.

How far along? 30 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: + 9 :)

Maternity clothes? Shirts - yes; pants - no

Sleep:  wake up each night at 12:45am, and again at 5:45am

Best moment this week: Being done with school, and knowing I don't have to go back until November 1st!!!

Miss Anything? Energy - I need naps all the time now!

Movement: All the time - others can feel him kick and punch.  He started hick-ups.

Food cravings:  On the flight to Phx, I craved M&M's and Pringles.  Puked them up once I landed, but they were good the first time.

Looking forward to: Judd visiting Phx this Friday

Dr. Appointment update: Our son is still measuring ahead by one week (est. due date of July 23rd).

IT'S A BOY!!!!!

How far along? 24 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 0 (I finally reached pound 0!!!!)

Maternity clothes? Shirts - yes; pants - no

Sleep:  wake up each night at 12:45am, and again at 5:45am

Best moment this week: Reaching pound 0!!

Miss Anything? Being outdoorsy with Judd - I have horrible coordination, and am still terrified of ticks!

Movement: Not just feeling anymore, but now watching him move

Food cravings:  Steak!  Steak and cheese burritoes, deer steaks (still am not totally fond of ground beef, or beef steaks).  Juice (started Prune Juice also).   Pickles, yogurt, ice cream, decaf coffee, Gala apples, chips/salsa, green chili sauce over cheese enchiladas.

Looking forward to: Baby showers coming up.  1st one is April 29th!

Dr. Appointment update: Next appointment is May 1st.

20 Weeks and Trucking

How far along? 20.5 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: -5 (I've gained 2 pounds)

Maternity clothes? I have come to the realization that I probably won't be wearing real maternity clothes for a while.  Guess I'll be wearing lots of skirts (now just to find some leggings to wear underneath to avoid embarrassing moments in the Kansas wind.)

Sleep: Sleep mainly on my left side/stomach :)

Best moment this week: Judd feeling the baby kick :)

Miss Anything? Having energy

Movement: Everyday now!

Food cravings:  Peaches, cheese pizza, bean and cheese burritoes, spinach salad with walnuts and blueberries, spinach and cheese hot pockets, lemonade, OJ and ice water.

Have you started to show yet: Uh huh!  People who didn't know I was pregnant are now commenting.

Looking forward to: A week without an ER trip for fluids! The only good thing about these ER trips are the ultrasounds and heartbeat checks (baby is measuring a 1.5 weeks ahead of predicted due date - shows July 23rd).

Dr. Appointment update: Next appointment is March 27th to find out gender :)

Here comes 18

How far along? almost 18 weeks (17 weeks and 5 days)

Total weight gain/loss: -7 (I've gained 3 pounds)

Maternity clothes? Just moved into the maternity jeans Karel sent.  The smalls from Old Navy look like I am trying to wear 3 sizes too big.  Hopefully, they will fit one day.  I plan on making a trip at the end of next week to Old Navy in Salina to try on their x-smalls.

Sleep: I wake up once between 2 and 4am for a drink and bathroom trip

Best moment this week: Eating 1 tsp of meat!  I had a small piece of lasagna, and was able to try the meat!  I also discovered I can eat cheese pizza :)

Miss Anything? Being able have the energy to joke with my students.  I am too tired to be any fun :(

Movement: Yep - some head butting in the middle of the night woke me up a few days ago.

Food cravings:  Egg sandwiches, cheese pizza, Squirt, Root Beer, Vanilla Chai tea, my instant decaf coffee mix, Nutragrain bars, nothing sweet this week outside of the soda, pasta and peas.

Have you started to show yet: Yep.  One of my students said I was starting to get fat :)  I took this as a compliment, as that means I am finally gaining weight.

Looking forward to: Feeling the baby move more.

Dr. Appointment update: Staying on Zofran to control puking (only puking every 3 or 4 days now, but still on 3 Zofran a day), added Colace to my meds.  Next appointment is March 7th.  A dentist appointment this week, on March 1st.

16 weeks and counting

How far along? 16 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: -10 (I've gained 1.5 pounds)

Maternity clothes? NO WAY - I am wearing a size smaller - only 4 pairs of pants and 2 skirts I kept if I ever "got too skinny" again.  It's sad that they fit!

Sleep: For the most part I sleep almost 10 hours a night :)

Best moment this week: Being able to eat some foods again, and being able to finally drink water!

Miss Anything? My wardrobe - it's hard having a closet full of pants that are now TOO BIG to wear.

Movement: Nope

Food cravings:  Chocolate fudge poptarts, water, Golden Grahams with Soy milk, egg sandwiches on toast with Miracle whip, lettuce with ranch, pasta salad, Wrigley's Doublement gum, blueberry NutraGrain bars, caffeine free coffee mix, Chai team mix (but I only have it once a week), banana-nut bread, salty kettle chips

Have you started to show yet: Yep, as my DH said when I was complaining that I lost my cute butt, "No you didn't.  It just moved to the front!"

Looking forward to: Gaining weight!

Dr. Appointment update: Staying on Zofran to control puking (only puking every 3 or 4 days now, but still on at least 2 Zofran a day), heard heartbeat (155), and gender ultrasound is March 27th.

14 weeks - it's OFFICIAL

How far along? 14 weeks - the news is out!

Total weight gain/loss: -13 pounds to start the week / now I am only -11.5

Maternity clothes? uh - NO - dropped too much weight and all my regular clothes are really baggy.

Sleep: Yes please!  I only wake up once at night, and have been sleeping with a pillow between my knees

Best moment this week: Not throwing up!!!  The hyperemesis seems to have let up a little thanks to Wrigley's gum and unsweetened iced tea! Still on Zofran (tried to come off of it, and failed!)

And of course, finding out my nephew, Christian Sterling Yokley, was born :)

Miss Anything? Being able to taste food!

Movement: I felt a little a few weeks ago (just some slight flutters after I had been lying down for a few hours - haven't really felt anything since that day.)

Food cravings:  Can't really say I have cravings, but here is what is new in my main diet: (this week): Unsweetened Iced Tea, Tator Tots, Snickers, gum, Nutra-Grain bars, tomato soup, and mini tostados (prior weeks): Chocolate Ensure, grilled cheese from Sonic, Lemon-Lime slushies,
Green Beans, Cinnamon Rolls, pickles, chocolate pudding, fruit popcicles,  pears.  Since I can't really eat much, foods move from good to gross sounding rather quickly.  What works one week, absolutely grosses me out the next.

Have you started to show yet: Yep (see picture)

Looking forward to: Feeling better, having more energy, and being able to eat again.
